CNC MACHINIST / METAL FABRICATION
HOURS : \n - 2nd SHIFT
\n - 4:00 pm - 4:00 am MONDAY - FRIDAY
\n - 10% SHIFT PREMIUM

Helpful experience includes micrometer, caliper, shop math, CNC, mill, lathe, machinist, band saw, tape measure, forklift, grinding, QC, metal fabrication, etc.
AREAS OF FOCUS: \n - Operate, set up and program CNC machinery.
\n - Using gauges - micrometers or calipers
\n - Operating overhead cranes
\n - Driving Forklift
\n - Actively participate in safe work practices
\n

Scot Forge has a fully paid customized training program for CNC machining, set ups and programming for the right candidate. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS-\n - Set up equipment, install tools and fixtures. Monitor entire run due to unique forgings.
\n - Edit G and M codes and program machine (training provided as needed - experience preferred).
\n - Load material into machine utilizing overhead crane to ensure safe machining on forgings up to 3,000 lbs.
\n - Monitoring CNC machines/ lathes / mills / saws. Check parts throughout, make adjustments to conform to specifications.
\n - Verify blueprint and dimensions. Visually inspect, layout and prepare materials as required.
\n - Identify forgings and material type. Read and understand entire part routing.
\n - Check parts throughout run and make adjustments. Examine material visually for flaws, defects and clean up.
\n - Calculate chain and strap adjustments to ensure the safe lifting and transporting of parts.
\n - Prior to loading part, identify forgings, material type, and verify blueprint and dimensions. Examine material visually for flaws, defects and clean-up.
\n - Actively participate in safety program to ensure the continued success of the program.#1811

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Skills-• High school diploma
• Strong math and computer skills
• Mechanical aptitude
• Hand tools
Preferred Skills -• Use of micrometer, caliper and tape measure
• Machine set up and operation or programming
• Blueprint reading
• Forklift operation
• Crane rigging and operation
• Prior manufacturing experience
