Our law firm is seeking a family attorney who can assist clients in navigating the sensitive legal issues of family law, including child custody, child abuse, and domestic violence. Responsibilities
* Anticipate, prepare for, and attend trials, mediation, and arbitration on behalf of clients
* Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings
* Provide guidance and advice to associate attorneys and paralegals to resolve or prevent conflicts
* Perform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motions
* Get appropriate documents prepared, such as motions, pleadings, notices, and discovery requests and responses
Qualifications
* Four-year bachelor’s degree and successful completion of law school from an accredited law school
* At least 3 years of experience working as a family law attorney
* Must be able to handle heavy caseload with little supervision
* Active member in good standing with local and state bar associations
* Exceptional time management and interpersonal skills are desired, as are exceptional writing and verbal communication skills
* At least 3+ years of litigation experience.
* Applicants must have trial, mediation, and evidentiary hearing experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
