It is the principal city of the Brownsville–Harlingen metropolitan area with a Population around 500K. Responsibilities of the Program Director are as follows :
Dedicate no less than 50% (at least 20 hours per week) of his or her professional effort to the administrative and educational activities of the Program.

Qualifications:
The Residency Program Director for both Transitional Year and Internal Medicine Programs . Duties will be consistent with ACGME accreditation requirements. The Program Director will have academic faculty appointment through the affiliate medical school. Be Responsible for the general administration, curriculum planning, recruitment, and teaching and supervision of Residency Program. establishes the strategic direction of the Program and is responsible for the standards, quality and reputation of such.
