Job Overview:

• Starting pay rate: $21.75/hr
  • Additional $2.00 for weekend shifts plus performance-based incentives
  • Shift starts at 9 am, typically 11-hour shifts across a 5-day work week

Your Role as a Warehouse Order Picker:

In this fast-paced role, you will be part of a dedicated team, known as industrial athletes. You will accurately and efficiently pull customer orders within the warehouse and ensure that products are safely palletized and stored in the right locations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate a double pallet jack throughout the warehouse
• Identify pick locations and select various food/beverage cases, stacking them onto pallets
• Meet order selection performance standards for speed and accuracy with minimal damage
• Safely handle and prepare items for shipment, including shrink wrapping and labeling orders
• Report safety issues to supervisors and maintain a clean working area
• Inspect equipment to ensure it’s safe for operation

Job Requirements:

• Previous warehouse experience is preferred, but not mandatory
• Must be 18 years or older
• Adhere to attendance policy and commit to the work schedule
• Ability to work in varying temperatures
• Good judgment is critical, as there may be times without direct supervision

Work Environment:

• This position requires work at one of our UNFI distribution centers.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and turn
• Exposure to temperatures ranging from -20 to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Perishable Operations and 37 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Grocery Operations
• Capability for repetitious arm, wrist, and hand movements
• Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and perform tasks in high places
• Manual dexterity, overall coordination, and good balance are necessary
• Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
